Five Layer Cookie Bars

I was plotting something rich and gooey and
delicious and decided to put everything together
that I love...Chocolate Chip Cookies, Brownies,
Oreos, and more chocolate.

This is a simple cookie that makes enough for a
crowd as you bake it in a bun pan.

Start with two packages of prepared chocolate
chip cookie dough (or make your own batch).
I add about 2 T. flour for each package to make
the chocolate chip cookies a little firmer.

Spread them in bun pan that has been sprayed
with Pam.  Then break up half a package of
Oreos and sprinkle on top.

Mix a package of brownies ( the 9x13 size package)
with 1 egg and 1/2 C. butter.  Pinch off pieces and
place on top.  It won't cover all of the cookie dough.

Pour on a can of sweetened condensed milk.

Sprinkle on 1 1/2 C. chocolate chunks or chocolate chips.
I love Trader Joe's chocolate chunks.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.  Let cool completely
before cutting.

Yum!  Layer after layer of cookie goodness.  Give these
a try for one of your summer picnics.

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. What a decadent cookie bar. I feel like I put on a couple of pounds just looking at these sweeties cookie bars. They look delicious. Like you said, layer after layer of rich chocolate and cookie goodness.

  2. I think I just drooled a bit - these look delish!! I am making your butter beer tomorrow night for Carter and his NY friends

  3. Good Lord! I just went into a diabetic coma from reading this post! ;P You truly are an evil genius. I love your cookbook!

  4. Oh my word, Jacqueline, yes, what decadence for sure! I'll have to try TJ's chocolate chunks. I always appreciate when products are recommended. Thank you for the recipe!
