Feather The Nest for Christmas

The nest is all feathered for Christmas
and these gorgeous feather placemats
are a DIY versions of the ones I
showed you from ZGallerie
on my Christmas Inspiration post.

After seeing these at their store,
I knew I had
to have some for my table and
I decided to follow their inspiration
of aqua and gold too.

This is ZGallerie's aqua and told
placesetting from their website.

Kathleen is having a table challenge
to find a table on the net and imitate it.
Mine looks more like theirs at the store
but I am happy to join the challenge.

The aqua and gold is beautiful
together and makes an
elegant statement in the
dining room.

I love keeping both the dining room
and kitchen table set for Christmas.
It makes such a great part of the
holiday decorations to see the table
beautifully set.

These beautiful placemats
truly looks like aqua nests
for the plates and charger.
They are so soft and pretty.

I borrowed this tray from my living
room for the centerpiece today.
It is all sparkly and perfect for the table.

The light gold candlesticks, aqua trees, candles
and ornaments sit in a bejeweled white tray
that I got a few years ago also from ZGallerie.

The new sparkly aqua candles were
from treasure hunting at Home Goods this year.
They always have such a great selection
of holiday candles, but grab them when
you see them, they might not be there
when you go back.

The aqua glass
trees were also from Home Goods
last year or the year before.

Here is a closeup on the glittery
border of this white tray.  I love it
for displaying treasures.

I paired one set of my aqua goblets
with my gold ones.

These are fun ones that we picked up
in Guadalajara for about $3 each -
what a great deal and I love the
twisted stem.

These gorgeous napkin rings
were the ones I told you I got
on sale at ZGallerie this year.

They have this beautiful crystal.
They are just tassles used as
napkin rings.

The gold and white is stacked
alternately and the base is
a white jeweled charger.
Another ZGallerie find - this table
should be titled ZGallerie Treasures
shouldn't it?!!

This table is one of my favorites.

My gold flatware from
Horchow is featured again.  I got
these last year from Horchow.
They were on sale too so I don't
know if they are available anymore.

I did my placemats differently
than the expensive ones at ZGallerie -
I only feathered the edge as the plate
stack will cover the middle.

My next post will show you how easy
it is to make your own version.

I hope your nest is all feathered
and that you are enjoying your
Christmas preparations.

Thanks for taking time during this busy
time of year to stop by and visit!

I will be posting this with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. Jacqueline, this is such a beautiful table...we all know that as much as I love green; aqua is my favorite color for tablescapes. Doing your feather over the placemat is probably a lot easier than the way I was thinking of doing them...between cardboard cake rounds...I would think the plates would sit better your way, too. I have lots of peacock feathers that I plan on using.
The stemware are both beautiful and the centerpiece so pretty. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent.
    Have a great week.

  2. Jacqueline, The aqua, white, and gold combination is beautiful together and perfect for feathering your PCH nest! I love your aqua trees and jeweled candleholders and chargers too :)

  3. Nothing makes a statement like a feather boa, Jacqueline! Your table is gorgeous! Aqua is my favorite color anyway, and it is so pretty with silver and gold~ What a fabulously elegant holiday setting [don't let your grandchildren sit there :)] I love all the bling and the sparkle, and anything Zgallerie!
Your Sugarplum Tree table was my inspiration, and it was so much fun borrowing your ideas!

  4. Absolutely beautiful! I love the feather chargers. I am not sure I would want anyone to eat near them.
They are just over the top! Your table is outstanding! I love, love, love it!
    Blessings My Friend,

  5. Such an elegant table, gorgeous shade of blue! Love ZGallerie! You've done a fabulous job recreating their table!

  6. Perfect copycat, Jacqueline! The feathers and soft blue and silver tones makes me think Heavenly. '-)
    Pretty table!

  7. Wow Jacqueline! Your table is heavenly with the aqua color and angel wings! I love how you ringed the plates to imitate the expensive ones. Your centerpiece is so sparkly and glittery to make a beautiful statement for Christmas.

  8. Fun and fluffy Jacqueline! Your setting is fitting for royalty-enjoy:@)

  9. Jacqueline your table is stunning as always love the ice blue look it makes such an elegant and grand color on your table. I love you in Mrs. Santa mode you look so cute and sassy wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas.Susie

  14. Goodness Jacqueline, this is too exquisite.
    Have a blessed Christmas.

  15. So lovely...those feathers are element that I would never have thought of using on a table looks so perfect! Love the gold and aqua color scheme also...very festive.

  16. Your combinations of aqua, silver and gold are spectacular, Jacqueline. The table really dazzles and touches of crystal makes it all sparkle. Your napkins rings are the perfect accessory.

  17. Beautifully done. love this color combination and Zgallerie has so many lovely pieces. I am not sure why their feather placemats are so pricey, but you DIY ones are wonderful. So many wonderful touches to make this table a fantasy. I cannot believe how much we are on the same path to thinking. Before you posted your chocolate spoons, I had ordered choc. molds online and now here you are with the aqua tablescape. I have plans to do a table with these colors as well. Great minds think alike....Hugs

  18. You've been feathering away! I am totally in love with those feathered chargers! I would have to make a "poor woman's version" of them for myself because I sure can't justify $30 apiece for them at Z Gallerie!!! My husband would have my head!!! I do agree, though, that Z Gallerie should have a much ritzier name due to its treasure trove! There is NEVER a time I've been in there that I haven't found at least five things I feel I can't live without!!!

I think you did a fantastic job of meeting the challenge! Whether the store's version or the website's, your version is a masterpiece!!!

  19. Ever since you first posted those feather place mats, I've wanted to do the same. They're so beautiful! Can't wait to see "how" you did them.

  20. Oh my! What a fabulous non traditional Christmas table! Those colors together are amazing, and the feathers, wow wow!
Thank you so much for joining in the challenge, I haven't seen you in so long, I haven't been blogging much!
Blogger put the word id thing on your blog, lots are having probs with it. :(

  21. So pretty!......
"I'll have a blue Christmas Without you! Hope you were able to get the cider you needed. I love your idea of keeping the table set always ready for the next meal!
