Tales of the Traveling Tote #37 and a Giveaway

Here it is already December 1st,
and Miss Madi K and I want to
welcome you to our
Tales of the Traveling Tote
and tell you where we
have been off to.

We are finishing building a
new home and didn't think
we could get away, but
 surprisingly, we
were able to travel to a few

We were so busy with the house
we forgot that our friends had
invited us to St. George for
a Gentri Christmas concert
at Tuacahn.
Tuacahn is an outdoor theater
and it was a lovely settting
and it started the Christmas
season out.

Check out Gentri's Christmas
albums.  They are a trio that
met while performing in
Les Miserables in Salt Lake
City.  Their harmony is wonderful
and you may remember that
we traveled with them on
a Mediterranean Cruise in

So much wonderful food
in St. George.  We always
have to stop at Tifani's for
crepes.  This is a Cinnabon
crepe with sugared pecans.

We were home just for a
couple of days when we
headed to Cabo for
It is the year for the kids
to be with the in-laws,
so it was just the two of us.

I made this Thanksgiving
floral arrangement using
just some wild flowers
growing out on the cliffs.

While we basked in the

the new house got its
first snow storm.

We enjoyed eating at
one of our favorites
in Cabo,
Tres Sirenas.
I just love their presentation!
Those flowers surrounding
the delicious coconut shrimp
just make it magical.

We tried the three sorbets
for dessert.  The presentation
on this was amazing too.

Then when we got home
we had a couple of fun
shopping expeditions
to get ready for Christmas.
We are hoping to get into
our new home next week!

It is always fun shopping
with the littles!  She was
totally entranced with
one of our favorite
The Busy Biddy.

Thanks for traveling along with
Miss Madi K and I.

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. How exciting to be in your new home for the holiday!! It looks stunning and I look forward to you sharing photos once you are settled! Your Cabo home is so dreamy - how lucky you can escape to such a wonderful retreat! Your little shopping sweetheart is adorable! I hope you enjoy the holidays with your family and friends !!

  2. Wow, your new home is gorgeous, along with your Cabo home. How fun to be in for Christmas. How wonderful to be able to get away while your new home is being built. The food always looks so beautiful the way the restaurant presents it. Shopping is always fun.
I am so looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful new home. Happy holidays.

  3. I hope you can move before Christmas. Your home looks so pretty, and of course your home in Mexico is a masterpiece! What kind of flowers grow on your property? Your arrangement is so pretty, and I love the pink. Your little granddaughter is so cute. She reminds me of our Shanley Belle who always wore a costume everyday when she was in preschool and kindergarten. OMGOODNESS the crepes at Tifani's look AH-mazing! i want one, lol! Have a blessed Advent and Christmas season, Jackie! XO, RJ

  4. It's so good to hear from you Jackie! Your new home looks beautiful, I can't wait for the grand tour! I'm glad you got to Cabo for Thanksgiving, I'm assuming you didn't have any damage from the recent hurricane? Those pink flowers are stunning! All the food looks as pretty as it much have been delicious to eat. Such a darling little shopper in training. Glad you found the time to break away for fun with friends. I hope you have a wonderful and restful December..........

  6. Jackie, your lifestyle reads like a fairy tale to me! You always have such sensational dwellings and goings on. Your new home looks absolutely astounding, but no more so than the cliffside gorgeousness of the Cabo home. You are truly blessed, and I am beginning to realize just how much the grands bring to the mix. Your little looks so excited in the photo, and I love her Princess gown she chose for the shopping occasion.
Best wishes for moving into your new home next week. I know it will feel like home immediately because that is your gift!

  7. Jackie, your new home is spectacular wrapped it its first winter snow fall. I can't wait for a full tour once you move in. I agree with Rita, your swellings are sensational! The concert sounds fabulous. I will look for this group's recordings. I know you two enjoyed a get away to Cabo. Coconut shrimp is one of my favorite dishes! Your forged flowers are spectacular!
