Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

"Though never a very good dieter, she'd found a rule of thumb that kept her from blimping out as her metabolism aged - eat what you want, but not all of it. So if she wanted cheesecake, she made cheesecake, had a slice, and took the rest to a friend or someone in her church who needed a pick-me-up."

The table is so elegant yet simple Jackie. I love every thing on it. Are you going to share the food. That is my kind of menu. We too have traditional favorites (crab for Christmas Day) but My table isn't as pretty as yours.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Everything is spectacular, as always, J! I love the pink and gold...perfectly festive!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, my friend! :)

What a beautiful table for your family! Love the overlay and all the gold embellishments! We always had the "kids" table because we couldn't fit everyone at one table. I like the idea of combining two tables together like that. Wishing you a blessed and very Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'd LOVE to get all your Christmas eve recipe... sound amazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Jackie! Another year to enjoy and have a fresh start. Your table is so elegant with the gold touches. It is elegant but with simplicity as well. Those glasses are lovely. How special to be able to sit together and enjoy this very special meal, topped off with a chat with your son. Cheers and blessings, Linda
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year..your table will be even fuller next year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat that will be..

ReplyDeleteThis table is absolutely stunning! Where do I start? That cloth! Those chargers! That gold flatware! Everything! I truly think those are the best looking gold chargers I have ever seen and same for the flatware. GORGEOUS.
Whether that cloth looks pink or red, I love the gold flecks on it.
You never cease to amaze me with your talent, and I know that your family must take great pleasure in sitting down at your gorgeous tables. This is a definite winner!
Hope your Christmas was merry and that your New Year will be filled with blessings galore!

P.S. I'm having a giveaway of a tablescaping book that I think you would really like. You might already have it, but if you do, you know that it's always fun to have an extra copy to give to a friend. It's Joe Nye's FLAIR. There are no strings attached. No following. No posting on your blog. I think that takes the fun out of it. But if you would like a chance, I would love to have you enter. xoxo
Jacquline your tables always bring me such Joy to look at to ooh and awe over. this came out looking more like asoft purple on my computer and just as beautiful as red I imagine. I always want gold flatware but strangely I never find any maybe cause I know I couldn't afford them anyway. Such beauty in your home.Happy New Years to you and your family.Susie

ReplyDeleteJust to look inside your storage would be a dream... to see the entire setting gives me an expectation that I'm sure your family feels when they know what might be in storage for them at your Home.
ReplyDeleteHeaven isn't, I'm sure, much more heavenly than this. Awesome.
What a Wonderful way to Welcome The Child into your Home and Hearts (with both brimming with happiness and love for each other).
