Purple Chocolat Halloween Mantel

Beaulah and I have been flying
this week to get Purple Chocolat Home
decorated.

Today we are showing you the mantle.

Decor around here tends toward
friendly witches and we love the Halloween
colors, but we REALLY love purple
and black for Halloween colors.

This year the Halloween Mantel has witches'
shoes for a theme.

Of course, our taste in witches' shoes is going to
run towards purple!  Love this little hanging witch,
she must have gotten splinched when she used
her flue powder.

"IF THE SHOE FITS"
and I think it does!

When you enter this Halloween home,
just toss your witch hat and make yourself
at home, especially if it is a purple feathered one.

Black and purple sparkle
is everywhere.

Love the fur trim on this one and the
curled toe.

(Yes, you can find all kinds of Halloween
decor in purple and black these days.)

Someone must have left their
 spells and potions books
on the hearth.

Even purple sparkly spiders  can give
you the creeps.

(Hope they don't make friends with any real ones!)

Beaulah, I think it is just perfect,!
Let's fly on to another decorating project.

Oh, one last thing, Beaulah wanted to
point out that her own shoes
are the inspiration for today's mantel.

We are also having a giveaway of a
Glitterville Halloween Stacked Cake Platter

We will walk our shoes on over
to

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  5. I have seen several pieces that would translate into paper creations beautifully. My husband mounted a big flat screen tv over our fireplace, so I've lost the use of my mantle for anything over 6 inches tall...this really makes me want to rip that tv down again....I'll have to settle for the virtual visit to your house. What a fun and eye catching display.

  33. To Mary L. and any others out there, no I didn't make the legs hanging off the mantel, but I am sure you could. I got them last year at Tuesday Morning.
The Witch shoes were from Tai Pan, the candle holders were from Home Goods, the purple witch hat from Tai pan and all of the garlands and black ornaments also Tai Pan.
