Beaulah Came Out of the Basement - 2nd Halloween Bash & Copper Soup Pot Giveaway

Welcome to the
2nd Annual Halloween Bash
hosted by twin sisters,
 Beaulah and Zoulah Boulah.

If you are new to our blogs, you can
find Beaulah here and Zoulah resides
They really
are two individuals and plan on getting
together sometime soon for a photoshoot
to prove it.

Beaulah and Zoulah were born October 31st
ages ago and love to whip up some fun for
Halloween in their
  Betwitchin Kitchens.

Hope you join us for a month of fun -

SOMETHING IS
ALWAYS BREWING

(BE SURE NOT TO MISS
THE GIVEAWAY
 WE HAVE COOKED UP
AT THE END OF THIS POST)

Well, now that we are done with the introductions,
Beaulah was in a
BLACK MOOD
when she finally got out of the box
and found out that her sister Zoulah had
been flying free for a week now.

I was sure she was going to serve
my head on a platter

But when I reminded her of all the fun we
had together last year

She lit up!
And when I told her we
were planning on a fun craft
to start decorating the house
 she just sparkled!!!

Imagine my surprise when I woke up the other
morning and found this playing spooky music
to wake us up!

I think it must be related to "THING" from
the ADAMS FAMILY.

Well, if  THE HAND wants to be part of the
Halloween Fun
we will work you in!

Beaulah and I flew around and collected
some fun Halloween craft items to
showcase THE  HAND.

We started by filling the container with dry floral
foam.  Beaulah told me this is the secret to any
centerpiece arrangement.   It keeps everything
in place.

Next we stuffed some foam into
THE HAND
and inserted a skewer so that he
wouldn't go wandering around anywhere.

Beaulah began by filling in around
THE HAND with flowers and baubles.
Just stick the floral stems into the foam.
Beaulah says if there isn't a stem like in
a ball, insert a skewer and then stick the
skewer into the foam.

She said to tell you not to worry if you
haven't tried this before, you can keep
moving things around until you like
what you see.

Then we added some items for height,
filled in around THE HAND
and made sure we had some items
draping down the front and some
items giving width to the side.

Finish by tucking in spanish moss to
the top of the container to cover all
of the foam.

Beaulah was cackling with delight by
now and had totally forgiven me for
not letting her out sooner.

We chose the entry table to get
all of our guests excited as they enter
our Halloween home.

Beaulah dug through the boxes
(ouch that brings back some hard feelings)
and found some other accessories
to finish off the vignette.

Now Beaulah thinks she is a floral designer!

She is just dizzy with other ideas to
spruce up this haunted house
and get this party started!

THE HAND
is happy too!

(Wait, I see the kitchen in the background
of this picture!  Did he manage to move
the whole arrangement?  He is going to be trouble!!)

Then I told Beaulah about our
giveaway of this beautiful
hammered 7 quart soup station
from Williams Sonoma
she was thrilled.
She said it was probably a lot more
classy to have a copper cauldron
than an old black one!

It ends at
MIDNIGHT (ooooohhhh)
Thursday, September 29, 2011.

Beaulah thought we ought to post this with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.
