Spring Has Sprung?

I know so many of you are out there enjoying your lovely
SPRING
weather, while the first few days of spring here have
been snowy.

I usually plant my pansies and spring flowers in the fall,
but this year I didn't get around to it and planted them
last Saturday when it was overcast but not wet.

This anemone looks like it is going to break off.

They sure brightened up the yard,

BUT...

now they are blanketed with snow.

Look at these poor primroses!

Well, that is spring for you, tease you with a
little nice weather and then change on you.

I'd much rather be enjoying this!

Or this!
(Give me a tropical climate anyday!  I would love to have
gorgeous flowers year round.)

I hope you have a wonderful spring.  Hop
on over to Beverly's at How Sweet The Sound
for
I will also be posting this with

Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  4. I recently did the same thing! Even though we have forsythia blooming all over our back yard I wanted some color in the front so purchased some potted pansies for our front steps and I just love the color it brings! Enjoy yours once the snow melts away, I'm sure they will still be beautiful:)

  5. Happy Pink Saturday, Jacqueline. Thank you for the compliment on my header. It is new.

Your pink blooms are so pretty - even wearing their white coat. Will they survive the snow?

I'm wishing you sunny days and pink joy.

  9. Hello dear Jacqueline! It's been awhile since I've had time to visit! I had to cover my pansies last night so they would survive the 20 degree weather...and will do so for the next few nights...we may see snow on Sunday :-(
    Have a beautiful weekend!

  13. That is how my spring looks too! I am holding off doing any yard work even though it really needs it. I am too lazy to get out there in the cold to deal with it.

I made your Lemon Shortbread Truffles last night. Unfortunately, they did not last long at all! I linked to your recipe and posted a recipe for lemon curd on my blog. They were just heavenly! Thank you again for posting the recipe!

  14. I just have to say that blooms peeking out from under the snow are just gorgeous. They seem to carry with them the promise of something better to come. Be patient, you will be rewarded in time. I have to say, I don't blame you for pushing but you will have what your heart desires....
    Happy Pink Saturday sweetie, Char

I am taking care of grands and have to go to the library to get on line...a 20 minute drive. I will help you change your blog next week when I can use wireless at home! It's not hard, but will take some time. Hang in there!

  30. She'll be back. :) We are supposed to get a little snow tonight too. I hurried outside and planted some grass seed because the snow will help the seeds seep into the ground better..... at least that's my theory. :) HPS
