Visions of Sugarplums Tree For My Kitchen

Visions of sugarplums are dancing all
over my kitchen!

I usually like to make my kitchen a place
for the little ones to enjoy during the
Christmas season.  They want to touch
everything so on this table I usually have
a display for them to touch.

This year I created a whole new tree.  I have
wanted a tree in the kitchen for some time with
gingerbread boys and girls,
cupcake and candy
ornaments.

Last year I had wanted a
 pink tree
but by the time I got around
to it they were all sold.

This year I grabbed one as soon as I
saw it and began
gathering sugarplums
to fill it with.

A pink confection of a tree
turned out to be the perfect
pick for my Sugarplum Tree.

Two cute nutcrackers, one a baker holding
a gingerbread house with little wooden tools
in his apron and the other with curly toed polka
dot boots and a cupcake for a hat have been
busy baking up all of our confections for the
Sugarplum Tree.

Nutcrackers hold a special magic
for little children and these two
fill little ones with wonder.

His cupcake hat is almost edible with the
cherries on top.

Fluffy ice cream cones and green and
pink polka dot ribbon,

Gingerbread cookies with cutters,

Giant lollipops

Enormous sparkly cupcakes

and wrapped candies all create
a mouthwatering treat for the eyes.

One of Santa's elves is still decorating
this wonderful
Hershey Gingerbread house.

(No this one isn't edible either but it
sure looks like you could take a bite out of it.)

One more Hershey's Kiss to unwrap
and place on the roof.

See the Hershey Bar for the door.

This little imitation sugar cone tree is
the perfect addition.

One more tree, a hard candy ribbon tree
sits on the other side of the house.

Cupcakes of all kinds fill the tree.

Here's one more of Santa's elves, holding a
freshly baked gingerbread girl
complete with baking pan.

And of course they use a sparkling red
Kitchenaid to do all of their holiday baking.
(I am sure they would have used a purple one
like mine if they could have found one!)

Truly a delight for the
  child in all of us.
