It is amazing what a cup of chopped
Snickers candy bars can do!!
I needed to make a dessert for
a get together in the neighborhood
and Nestle's Tollhouse Pie is always
a winner and the great thing is that
you have all of the ingredients
on hand.
When I opened the pantry I saw
a package of Mini Snickers and it
called to me. So I decided to have some
fun with it.
Instead of the cup of pecans
I added a cup of cut up Snickers.
Wow, that took an great dessert
and made it extraordinary!
The great part of this
Snickers Tollhouse Pie
is how quickly you can whip it
up and you can serve it warm
or cold so if you need a
dessert in a hurry and you
want a dessert that wows,
this is the one for you!
Snickers Tollhouse Pie
(variation of Nestle's Tollhouse Pie)
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
2 eggs
1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. white sugar
1/2 C. brown sugar
3/4 C. melted butter
1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 C. cut up Snickers candy bars
Pre-heat oven to 325.
Beat the 2 eggs until foamy. Add the flour
and both sugars. Stir until smooth. Then mix
in the melted butter by hand. Let cool a few
minutes so that you don't melt your chocolate.
When it has cooled slightly, stir in the
chocolate chips and Snickers bars. Pour into
the unbaked pie shell and bake for 60-65 minutes
or until set in the center.
Serve warm or at room temperature
garnishing with whipped cream and
additional chopped candy bars.
Super yum!
