Jacquelyn & Jacqueline

When Baby Jacquelyn was 7 days old her mommy asked me
to come help on a photo shoot with Jacquelyn and her brothers
and sister.

Then right before I was to leave her mommy called and
said that Jacquelyn and Jacqueline should have their
pictures taken together and that the studio had a purple
tutu so I might want to dress in purple.

Grandma hadn't even curled her hair that day so she was
glad she got a call about being in the photos!

A quick wardrobe change and some curls and we were all
set for getting our pictures together.

(Of course Baby Jacquelyn's favorite color is purple and she is
a bling bling girl too!)

I had never been to a newborn shoot before and the
staff at
Camera Shy
in
Lehi, Utah
were absolutely amazing.

They had incredible props and backgrounds and even darling
headbands and tutus you could use.

Jacquelyn didn't really want to sleep, but they cleverly
turned on a blow dryer to help her close her eyes and
patiently waited for her.

I just loved this gorgeous screen painted in four colors.

What a beautiful shot with mommy!

Big sister couldn't be happier!

Here is her loving tribe!

I just love their props.  They take these fun dressers and
repaint them all of the time.  They told us that when we
came back things would be all different.

I just love this chair made out of a door and
part of a bed.  A little girl in a pink floral outfit
had her photo taken in it and the proofs were
adorable.

I would love to have a dresser like this,
 it was just enchanting.

And this aqua blue one was so gorgeous too.
Everything they had was so up to the minute in style.

Three generations of hands -
grandma, mommy, sister and baby.

Here we got her eyes slightly closed.

The session was only $89.00 and you get the CD of
photos to do with as you please.

I highly recommend Camera Shy and can't wait to go back
and see what new things they have.

And Baby Makes Eight

Another sweet angel has come to join our family.  Doesn't
she look like she has a smile on her face meeting her
family for the first time?

Meet Baby Jacquelyn.  Her three year old brother
has been calling her by that name since he found out
she was a girl.  He even argued with his brother
and sister when they liked other names.
He would say things to mama like, "Did Baby Jacquelyn
sleep well last night?" (while she was still in mama's tummy),
"Is Baby Jacquelyn coming today?", "How's Baby Jacquelyn
doing?", etc.  He pronounces it in two syllables like
Jack-lyn.

I love my real name of Jacqueline
but have almost always
been called Jackie (which I don't love so much) so when
I started blogging I chose to go by my real name of
Jacqueline.  Joni (my sister at Red Couch Recipes)
thought that was so funny that I would choose to
go by my real name.  I often tell friends I would
prefer to have them call me by Jacqueline.  Now
we have a real Jacquelyn and I hope no one ever
calls her Jackie.

Of course Grandma LOVES her name
and I also like the slight change in spelling
too.

This is grandbaby number eight.  We feel so blessed.

This is the dress she came home in and her big
"Sissy" is so happy to finally have a sister.
We are all so grateful she is here safe and sound.

I will be sharing these girly shots on

Nothing As Precious As A Newborn Babe

Two little girls were so excited to
welcome their new baby brother!

Everything at Purple Chocolat Home is so busy with two
graduations,
birthdays
and
two building projects and now a new
grandbaby and one more coming in a month.

I am so sorry that I haven't been able
to visit blogs much lately, but life is so full and
wonderful (and yes, slightly crazy) and I just had to
  share him with you!

Of all of my experiences in life, there is nothing more
precious than the birth of a child!
