Welcome to our High Ropes
Course Fun Day party, where
we all dressed up as
Harry Potter
characters as we climbed
people on our course.
As missionaries at
Heber Valley Camp, we
all put on Fun Days at
the end of the year.
We pick a theme and
then have treats to
go with the theme and
people from all over
the mission come and
participate.
We have over 100
couples, so it is a big
party.
This is our District Leader
as a young Harry and an
older Harry. He was chosen
to be Harry because he
still has lots of hair!
This is our other
District Leader,
his wife, as
Rita Skeeter.
They are the Loose's.
The Steele's as
Mad Eye Moody,
and a Gryffindor student.
The Clayson's as
Professor Umbridge,
and a Hogwart's professor.
Sister Draper on the left,
ready to battle,
and her husband as Snape.
The Bartholomew's
as Dobby,
The Warner's
The Stephen's as Ron
and Hermione.
Hubby as Malfoy,
and me as McGonagall.
(Hubby did all of the
AI versions of our
district and we enlarged
them to 11x14 and hung
them around the course.
They were a real hit.
I made and served 180
Butterbeers made with
our slushie machine that
we brought up.
We served nachos
with Bugles, Fritos and
tortilla chips, and we
had a large assortment
of candy and cookies.
Rita wandered around
interviewing and asking
annoyingly personal
questions.
Umbridge
sorted everyone into
houses and gave them
a house sticker to wear.
As people went down
Big Blue,
they received flying
lessons and put on a
cape and mounted a
broom.
And Snape flying down
on the zip line. We have
two zip lines on our course.
Everyone had a wonderful
time socializing, eating
and climbing.

This first summer of
our mission ends on
September 25th.
It will be sad to see
the second years leave
as many of them live
in another state.
We have had a wonderful
summer serving the
youth and families
together. This has been
such a choice opportunity
to live in a trailer on this
mountain and climb
come snow or rain!!!
