In My Easter Basket Table

The smell of chocolate still reminds me of Easter Bunnies!

If I had only one thing in my Easter Basket, it would be
Chocolate Bunnies and Chocolate Eggs.

Easter will be different this year, with no family
gathering.  We are to "Stay Home and Stay Safe",
and we are taking it seriously.

We will miss having all of the little ones here
and the fun and joy that they bring, but we can
enjoy them by FaceTime - how blessed are we?!!

I thought this table runner, which I had
purchased on sale a few years ago was
the perfect theme for this year's Easter Tablescape.

I had also purchased these darling MacKenzie-Childs
egg-shaped plates last year, but never used them.

They feature a gold bunny,

and a gold chick.

Did the Easter Bunny always leave trails of candy for
you?  Ours did, and one year he even hopped over
my bed and left trails on me bed!!

Although this makes a pretty table,
I have to move the chocolate, as the morning
sun would melt it all.

Everything else can stay.

My stack started with gold ceramic chargers that
I have had for at least 30 years.  Then it was topped
with a scalloped MC enamel plate, a gold rimmed
rustic glass plate, and finally the MC egg plates.

I brought out the gold twig flatware to go with
this black and white and gold table.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!  I hope you are all
Staying Home, and Staying Safe!

Nevertheless, at this time when we celebrate
the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ,
may faith and hope be in your hearts and minds.

Hugs from our home to yours.

(The huge bunny and egg were saved
from last year - even though the
kids wanted to eat them.  Two of the "chocolate
bunnies" are not real.  Other candy was
purchased before we started "Stay Home
Stay Safe" but some things can still be
ordered online.)

I will be posting this with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. Our Easter will be different too, with no family or friends at the table. Your table is lovely. I like just the runner and chargers and the bunnies and plates are perfect. I so wish I'd bought Easter candy before we locked down. Guess I'll have to get creative!

  2. Aww, Easter will be totally different this year. At least you can see the kiddos with Facetime. Your table is lovely. I have those gold chicks plates too. They look so cute with your gold goblets. The runner isa wonderful addition. With chocolate and bunnies, your table is charming. Love the trail of chocolates eggs. Take Care Jacqueline. Hugs

  3. Hi Jackie, Our Easter will be so different as well. No family gathering to share. Ours will be Face Time. Your table is so pretty with the MC plates mixed with your gold chargers. I love Easter baskets and enjoy making them every year but I can't get out to get what I need to make them :( Knowing family members are all safe and well is what be want this year. Take care and be well......

  4. Beautiful table Jackie, I love the way the Courtly Check plate shows through the glass one in the plate stacks. Thank goodness for the internet and Face time right now! Stay well,
