Queen of Halloween

So we are having a witchy war here!  Just because
BEAULAH
proclaims herself as
QUEEN OF HALLOWEEN,
doesn't mean she is!!!  I mean, really, she
mostly sits around on her pedestal and orders me
around!

Welcome to our Halloween entryway, where these two
will CHARM you with a piece on the grand piano.

Well, she may not charm you as much as HEX
you with that stare!

The entry table has some new mercury glass
goodies that we cooked up.
Dead Man's Toes
and
Fur of Werewolf
(straight from London).

We even did the mercury glass ourselves
using the wizardry wonders of Youtube.

There hasn't been so much fun crafting
around
Purple Chocolat Home
in years.

Beaulah and I are going to show you how
to make the adorable
Halloween Bottle Brush Trees
(SUPER EASY)
in our next post!

I think we brewed up over 30 - large and teeny tiny!
TEE HEE HEE!

Orange, black, ombre, and even purple!

Beaulah has them everywhere!!!
Always fun at Halloween here!

Glad you could fly in on your broomstick
for a visit with us!

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. Oh, I'm in LOVE! All that sumptuous purple and GLEAM!

We're doing several of our little houses this afternoon Sweetpea and her Mama and Caro. We found some charming little birdhouses (verandahs! Picket fences!) And even one little castle fort for a grandson. Our first venture into any permanent dwellings, for all our past creations have been gingerbread houses or cookie houses (cardboard frames, made by me, stuck all over with every cookie in Kroger, Safeway and Piggly Wiggly), and the kiddos and birdies polished those off.

Better go get to laying out goodies and getting tables ready.

    1. Can't wait to see your creations! I was talking to some of my crafting friends and they are doing the same thing - getting together with their daughters and granddaughters to craft. How fun!!

  2. I forgot about the darling little Goth couple---they remind me of the line in A Room With A View, when Lucy says, (Best Helena Bonham Carter voice here): "Mama doesn't like me to play Beethoven. She says I'm always peevish afterwards."

    1. Linda, not only are you and I two peas in a pod, but it sounds like our husbands are too. My hubby says I need to get rid of. I need help doing that! I always pull things for tablescaping and can't resist new things! Haha - that's my wicked side.

    1. I am with you on that! The month of October just disappears! So many fun things to make and create, but add in hubby's birthday (always wants a trip), football games, parties, Fall Break for the kiddies - it is hard to get things done!

    1. Sometimes I think the kiddies appreciate it more than the adults! I think they are too used to it! Just had our family dinner last night - have to squeeze it in early!

  13. Jacqueline, Let Beaulah fight it out with Zoolah for second in command of Halloween--you are the queen! I will steer clear of those two on your piano bench and I'm off to see all your other Halloween creations! Linda
