First Birthday Cake

Saylor is one, and we always have the tradition
of letting them dive into their cake.  Dive is usually
not the word, as they delicately touch and then taste,
but it sure is fun to watch.

Since her birthday is July 3rd, we decided to
make this flag cake, with patriotic roses,
and let her have fun with it.

She is even dressed to match.

Yeah, now the party is started!

You try it first!

Mom, is this all right?

Hey, this is fun to squish!

Ok, this is pretty good.

Forget the finger, I will take a fist full!

I meant two fists full!!

Sugar heaven!

The flag cake was probably a little deluxe to have
it just destroyed, but we did get a picture of it
before she dug in.

Happy July 4th!

Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.
