Jacqueline
Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

Words to Eat By
"Though never a very good dieter, she'd found a rule of thumb that kept her from blimping out as her metabolism aged - eat what you want, but not all of it. So if she wanted cheesecake, she made cheesecake, had a slice, and took the rest to a friend or someone in her church who needed a pick-me-up."

Absolutely perfect. What a stunning welcome to the Ghostly Feast.
ReplyDeleteMy mind just closes down around the logistics of all these fabulous goodies, and how many tables you must have for all these spectacular displays, and the packing away and storing, and the getting out and knowing just WHERE THEY ARE when the time comes again.
You young folks with all that creativity and energy provide such a source of entertainment and amazement, with all these lovely things to look at and OOH and AAH over. Oh. My. SCHTUNNING is the word.

Jacqueline, I would have never thought of gold and black for a Halloween table. The golden silverware is just wonderful with this table. I love it. The hearse and those new dishes are just fab. Love all your details, especially the food ones. You are having fun with your cricket machine. You and Beaulah have sure been up to a lot of fun this year. Happy Halloween. Joni
ReplyDeleteI love gold and black. I did a table last year with those colors. Truly creative, beautiful and spooky. Stunning centerpieces. Gotta love the Home Good store for gorgeous dishes. All of the gold just s shines...Truly elegant and spooky.

We used to go to DisneyWorld almost every Halloween for about 4-5 years before our girls got too active in high school sports. The Haunted Mansion is the best! What a fun table and great memories :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Rachel, I do a lot of stacking and storing, and I pretty much know where everything is! BUT - wanted gold placemats for all of these. Couldn't find them so alternated with black - today I found hubby had stuffed them in the cabinet under the sink in the half bath!!! What?!!
ReplyDeleteIf I put them away, I know where they are!!
I couldn't resist those plates either when I saw them at HomeGoods this year! Your table is over the top, especially with your hearse centerpiece! Love your goblets and napkins too!
ReplyDeleteSpooktacular!!
