Birthday in Blue Tablescape

This pretty Birthday in Blue Tablescape
is for a lovely summer meal to celebrate
a friend's birthday.

We are celebrating at Joanne's house in her wonderful
covered area.  They took the walls down and left the roof
leaving a huge area for outdoor parties.

Joanne set the scene for a wonderful night with hanging
lights and blue handkerchiefs.

She was really proud of her table in blue as she
had purchased everything at thrift stores.

The birthday girl is seated at the head of the table
with a metal crown by her plate.

I love the soft and dark blues paired
together, and the glasses capture that.

I had to give you a peek at her huge tablecloth.
I just love the fringe.

Here is a peek at her table.

Who wouldn't love to be treated to a meal here.

I tried to get a photo with her adorable dogs, but
they either hid under the table or came to stand
by me - the camera woman.

It was Natalie's birthday we were celebrating,
and after dinner we spent a few hours finishing
our fairy crafts.

Here is Natalie with her crown.  The crown stays
to celebrate all of the birthdays throughout the year.

Even Joanne's flatware was a mix of thrifting.

I love the vignettes she has created around
her huge outdoor room.

The table on the left, she purchased for $10, and then painted it.
Now that was a huge bargain.

We each received a wonderful bottle of
Rosemary Dipping Oil.
The darling bottles were from Hobby Lobby this year.

Even the centerpieces were thrifted.
Joanne is so excited about creating lovely
tables for us that she said she has already
purchased 4 (or more) settings for different
tables for the upcoming months.  (We do
a craft night once a month and have now added
dinner to it.)

Click here to see our fabulous Fairy Party Table
from last month.  It was also in this fabulous outdoor room.

These were our fairy models.

These are like the fairies that I crafted.
They were all so cute and unique.

They will go perfectly with my fairy house
we made last month.

Everyone combined their cooking talents
for our lovely meal.

I made our dessert -  Mini Churros with
Caramel and Fudge Sauce - and I will be posting that soon!

I feel so honored to be a part of this
talented group of ladies who are so
filled with creativity.  Glad the hubbies
don't mind us staying up past midnight!!
Can't wait to see what we have next month.

I will be sharing this with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. What a lovely gathering of charming ladies.
    Thank you for sharing,
Teresa (I'm stressing over a tablescape with grown-up hints - it means it's not themed but with mere suggestions (oh why do kids have to grow up? now, I'm already sounding like PP ahahahaha) - of Peter Pan. Really Stressed and to go through this oh so natural and beautiful setting helped sooth the anxiety)

  2. Jacqueline, I look forward to what you share about your craft nigh with your girlfriends. Joanne's table is absolutely lovely with all the blue details. Love the idea of a covered outdoor area. I'm sure she has many dinners and parties in this space. Her banner of hankies and lights is a darling touch. I need to remember that idea. Pinning it!
Thanks for sharing and thank Joanne for sharing. I need to pop over to Red Couch and see what she is up to.

  5. WOW!! Do you have room for one more, the table and setting is wonderful. I am helping my partner in dish crime with a Shabby Chic party, may use some of her settings. Have fun next month, anxious to see what the theme is.
