Building Sand Castles for my Birthday

We were able to fly away to
Cabo
for New Years and my birthday
(the only way to get a year older!)
I went down to the beach with
my daughter and two of the grandchildren
to play in the sand.

Having a bag full of sand toys
and finding a mount of sand we
decided to have fun and build a
huge sand castle.

It was turning out so well that
I had to send my daughter back
up the hill to the house to get
the camera!

The castle is ruled over by
this huge fire-breathing dragon

and his little baby dragon who
is protected inside the castle walls.

One of the kid's favorite things
to get down here in Mexico is
Kinder Eggs
and they had Despicable Me
characters in them.  Agnes
gives a perspective of the size of the
sand castle.

The minions give some perspective too.

But you can get the best perspective with
some of the builders posing behind it.

It was a day full of fun
while the others went to swim with
whale sharks!

I said this was the greatest
sandcastle I had ever built.  It
wouldn't have been possible
without some great sand toys!

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

Your time on the beach in the middle of winter sounds idyllic. I grew up near the beach and building sand castles is one of my favorite memories. Don't think we ever built one as grand at yours.
Happy, Happy to you all year long……Sarah

  6. Jacqueline,
LOVE the sand Castle! WE make those every summer at the Oregon Coast, it is tradition. Kinder Eggs! I wish they were not illegal in the US. I swear, the minions from despicable me were designed with a Kinder Egg toy container in mind! They look just like them! We thought that when the first movie came out! We eat as many as we can when we are in Germany!
Happy Late Birthday, I think I know what YOU want!
    LOLHugs,
    Betsy

I'll have to look for some of those little Despicable Me toys...too cute!

Sarah & I share our birthday in 10 days, so we must all be Capricorns!
    That explains everything! LOL
