Chocolate Overload Cake

Definitely a cake for Chocoholics!
My daughter saw this cake on Pinterest and
decided to make one for a family dinner.  The pictures
don't do it justice!  It was breathtaking when she walked
in with it on her ruffled purple cake platter.
Her inspiration was this Chocolate Wasted cake
at the Art of Dessert

This is definitely a cake for chocolate lovers - chocolate cake
topped with chocolate icing then chocolate chips, chocolate chunks
and finally drizzled with melted chocolate.  Nope - not too rich
for me!
 I loved it!!!

Chocolate Overload Cake

Bake your favorite two layer cake and frost it generously
with your favorite chocolate frosting.  Press generous amounts
of chocolate chips and chocolate chunks into the frosting
around the sides and the top of the cake - she used semi-sweet
for those.

Melt 1 C. milk chocolate chips and add 1 tsp. oil.  Stir in.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cake.  Let the
chocolate set up.

Dig in and enjoy!

I am so bad, my mouth is watering as I am typing.

Wish I had another piece Jessica!
I love what Pinterest has done for all of the young
mothers in our family.  They are motivated to try new
things and experiment from cooking to sewing and crafting.
Keep baking me goodies!
I will be posting with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.
