Elegant Snack Sets - One of My Mother's Day Gifts

It is so fun to shop when you are on vacation.

 We were in California
for the temple sealing of my son and daughter-in-law and their
little girl and
we had the opportunity to vacation and shop too.

California has the most amazing shopping!  So much better
than ours.

I walked into Bloomingdale's Home Store and they had this
white textured stoneware on display.

At first I only bought the cups and saucers.  I was just enchanted
by the texture on the cups themselves.

The handles are just amazing, but what made me even
more interested was that they could go into the oven.

I began to imagine all kinds of desserts that I could bake
int these wonderful little cups.  I picked up eight of them
so that I could use them for a dinner party.

I even served some amazing cupcakes on the little saucers
when we got back to the hotel.   We had bought  them
at a wonderful grocery store - Bristol Farms near
the Newport Mall but my husband accidentally broke one.

I went back to replace it and my daughter decided to help me
buy some of the other plates to go along with the cups and
saucers.

I also had to pick up this amazing pitcher that matches.

Look at that handle!

I am so glad it didn't break on the way home.

Bloomingdales also had these great napkin rings.

They look like a wonderful cocktail ring.

I paired everything with my linen with French script and my
black flatware.

Beautiful white and green flowers fill the pitcher.

Hydrangeas are just so delicate and amazingly beautiful.

I love the smell of lilies.

The spider mums are so unique too.

A lamp with French script joins the table centerpiece.

It creates such a nice glow as night begins to fall.

The San Diego Temple where they were sealed
together as a family for time and for all eternity.

The beautiful family Marcus, Lindsay and Goldie.

Families can be together forever.

I will be posting this with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.
