Spring Pinks

I was out taking photos of my flowering plum tree
for Pink Saturday - when I looked across the street
and all I saw was pink!

"Wait girls!  I have to get a photo of
your fun boots!"  I called.

"Will we get to be in your book?" one asked.

"Do you mean my blog?"  I responded.

"Oh yeah, " they replied.

"Of course!"  I said as we took photos of their
fun boots.

Here is my spectacular flowering plum in the
front yard.

We lost almost a third of it last year with a late snow.
(We were out of town and came home to broken branches.)
The blossoms held the snow and it broke so many branches
off.  We had a snow emergency this spring too and I
quickly sent hubby out to shake the branches off.

Just like pink cotton candy!  The nursery kids sing a song
called "Popcorn Popping On The Apricot Tree".  This
would have to be  changed to "cotton candy"
on the plum tree.

Then they told me they wanted another picture
for the blog, not just their feet!
The oldest one is one of my Young Women at church.

 The little
girls are the ones who love to come and visit
my fairy garden.  The fairies should be returning
soon if the weather gets warm!

One last photo!

I just had to include this one; it made me laugh.
I kept finding these around the house.  I am sure this was caused
not by a fairy, but little boys who prefer ears.

Ok, so I didn't plan on getting up
for the Royal Wedding,
maybe it was two posts this week that did it.  I woke up at
4:15 Mountain time and decided to flip the TV on and
ended up watching the whole thing.  Loved it, loved
Catherine's dress and Pippa's - loved
the modest dresses - some of the hats were a little
too much but entertaining,
loved the carriage, loved the choir and
especially the clergy's message on marriage.  I have
to say, I don't know how anyone caught a picture of
that quick peck we waited an extra hour for!  Katie
Couric was demanding a repeat and I agreed.

 Congratulations
to them!  I hope they have a long and happy marriage
like I have had - 32 years in
two weeks (of course we haven't been in any spotlight!)

Most of you said no way
to having a chance at being
a Royal.  I agree, I value my privacy!!!

I will be posting this on

Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  5. The boots are so very retro and they come in handy ( every gal should have a pair ) .... The tree is absolutely gorgeous , stunning and pretty all rolled up into one word ( I found the kind of tree i will in my front yard ) .... The Prince and Princess looked like no other royal couple I have seen so far in my lifetime ( every man and woman should have one : a princess or a prince that is ) .... The gown looked marvelous ( time to get mine out and wear it for my anniversary tomorrow night 23 years ) .... Have an enjoyable weekend !!

  9. I bet the little girls felt like "stars" when you took their picture! So cute.

I had the TIVO set for the wedding, but I woke up one minute before she started down the aisle. So, I turned on the television and like you, I watched it all. Diana and I had our children at the same time, so I have always been interested in them. I loved every moment. My favorite...when Harry peeked at Kate and said something to William.

Those earless bunnies are too funny. I like the lineup ~ partial ear to no head at all. LOL

  18. When people used to ask me what I did, I would flippantly say, "I'm a princess." Don't you want to be queen?" they would ask. "No way," I would say..."Way too much responsibility!" I had decided not to get up to watch the wedding either...it would be shown incessantly on television all day today. But...the Yorkshire Terrorist had to go outside at 5:00 AM, so I flipped on the kitchen t.v. while waiting for him to come inside...and there stood Kate at the front of the church with her father, so I watched it after all. I did take a long nap this afternoon. Cherry Kay

  22. Happy Pink Saturday Jacqueline Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share today. I love your magical blooming tree. It truly does look like a forest fit for a fairy. I love it. So gorgeous. Do you cut sprays to bring in the house now and again? I would imagine they would smell as heavenly as they look.

Love the boots, and how sweet of the girls to pose for you. I love it that they also wanted us to see who was attached to the boots. That is just priceless.

I was up at 1am to begin watching the royal wedding. What a wonderful time it was. I wouldn't have wanted to miss a single bit of it.

Hope you have a glorious weekend sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  31. Love all your posts on the royal wedding. I have to admit...I asked my sweet Tyson to wake me up to watch the unveiling of Kate's dress. And of course he did and watch the whole ceremony with me, cuddled up on the couch :) Made my day. What a gentleman, only his mother's son would do such a thing!
