Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

"Though never a very good dieter, she'd found a rule of thumb that kept her from blimping out as her metabolism aged - eat what you want, but not all of it. Beautiful table...so stunning with all the red. I didn't like red until about 2 years ago...now I'm picking up red accents all over, although jewel tones of purple, blue and green are still my favorite. I never know if the red goes with those. I keep hearing about this Home Goods...and wishing we had one...so many fun things I see on many blogs that come from there. You set a beautiful table incorporating so many different things.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your Valentine's Table -- it just dripped and dazzled with red, which of course I love. I expecially liked the new candle holders ont he cute white plates. Also the red plates -- are they new. What a fun idea to collect Valentine chocolate boxes. Do you remember Dad used to give us small ones. Joni

ReplyDeleteThis is the best Valentine's Day table I've ever seen, it's beautiful. I would love to be a guest at a lunch or dinner you'd host.

ReplyDeleteAw, geez....I forgot that Valentine's Day is right around the corner. I guess I'll have to start acting right around here so I don't get coal instead of diamonds! ;-) Those napkins are simply precious!!!
ReplyDeleteYour table is so elegant and romantic, but still fun! I think a couples dinner is a wonderful idea. My Mom also collected her heart shaped chocolate boxes from my dad, and now I buy them for her. The reds, including the Horchow flatware, look great together. I am on the search for some red flatware too. As always, you have set a beautiful table! Linda

Yet another wonderful table. It's always, always, a treat to come here.
ReplyDeleteI love how your place setting looks like has ruffles, lace, and hearts just using uniqueness of the dishes. Makes me want to celebrate Valentine's Day.
Gorgeous. I LOVE those chargers. And the candles on the dishes are great. I love Tai Pan when I get to Cali.

ReplyDeleteSo beatiful! I'm getting excited for Valentines now : )
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!! Red is really my favorite color and this table just makes my heart sing. Did the red plates come from Costco or did you have those? LOVE.them! I collect hearts/heart shapes so this is totally my kind of table. Thanks so much for sharing!

How gorgeous! You have such an attention to detail. I love the colour theme, and I really love those little heart napkins.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty table scape! I would like to invite you to link this up to my new link party, Masterpiece Monday, at Boogieboard Cottage. The link will be up all week. Take care, Mary :O)
ReplyDeleteWhere to begin??? Everything looks fabulous altogether and broken down piece by piece in your post. Each detail is so well thought out and adds to the drama. I especially love the candleholders on each plate and the centerpiece made of "old" chocolate boxes from your hubby - how special! I'd love to dine at this spectacular table!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love this holiday and all the romantic red. Your bling on this table is just perfect.

Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me with your Valentine tablescape. The textured heart shape plate looks like rich icing on the marvelous red ruffled charger. Aren't sisters just the very best gift from heaven! You and I are truly blessed. As soon as I finish clearing the rest of the elements from my 'Amethyst and Toile' tablescape, I'll pull out my heart shaped dinnerware and see what I can create. I'd almost forgotten about them. Hmmm...you've got me thinking! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous design and for stopping by my post. Come visit any time. Cherry Kay
Oh, this is such a beautiful table for Valentine's Day! I love all your pretty heart details! And I love the hearts hanging from the chandy. Just wonderful!

Beautiful and romantic table. Your red flatware makes me swoon. I've long wanted red flatware.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
I am loving your whimsical VD table, Lady?
ReplyDeleteI do love red & of course, a dash of white and silver.
Everything you shared to us are to die for. I might be so naive, when my 2 world blend with the American style. But, I am loving it.
Happy TS and enjoy the rest of the week & a great w/end too.
Hugs,

I went right to Horchow and ordered the RED flatware. While I was at it I ordered some badly need GOLD flatware (so you won't have to urge me to get some anymore). Are the goblets from COSTCO this year? I love, love, love them - but I have no more room to store them. What to do? What to do?
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, now this is the perfect Valentine's table. I love how you mixed everything. Each detail just adds to the festive, romantic air of the table. I love Home Goods, too. I think I need to take the pledge, though, if my car keeps heading in that direction. LOL! I found some yellow napkins last year like your red ones, and the design is Easter eggs. I love little details like that, and I really like your new flatware. The whole table from the heart shaped dishes to the candy boxes from your beloved all make such a nice presentation which you always do well.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
This table is certain to spark the romance in all who are lucky enough to dine here! Very special!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful...romantic and pretty! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful table!! Those plates with the floral edging are gorgeous. But my favorite is the red glasses...the are so intensely red which makes my heart go pitter-patter! Right now, I am looking at the heart-shaped chocolate box my husband gave me last year, so I love that you have saved yours as well!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just an adorable Valentine's Day celebration!
Jacqueline, this is definitely a valentine table. Love every red inch of this beautiful setting. Like you, I've saved heart candy boxes through the years. I posted last year's table for TT, but am at work on a new one for this year. You are good inspiration to get busy.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's always a pleasure to see what creative ideas you have to share. ~ Sarah
