Cabo Oceanside Dining

We are in Cabo
so I thought I would set a table with beautiful table and glass ware from here.
My last post showed the glass factory here in town.  Click here to see that.

Another favorite spot of mine to shop here is a huge store called Artesanos.  They feature pewter, ceramics, wood, glass and
furniture too.  These plates and glasses were purchased there.

This yellow and blue pattern is a new one.  I love the happy colors. It combines with the blue
glassware so well.

Make this centerpiece by layering sand and shells.  My little secret - the sand is from the beach
here, but shhhh!! - I import the shells from Wal Mart.
Wal Mart has great shells for really cheap prices.
So you don't have to be by the ocean to create an oceanside tablescape.

We eat most meals outside here.  This little table is right outside of the kitchen.

Anything tastes better in pretty glassware!

This is what we ate for breakfast this morning.  In Cabo a fun thing to try is to buy fruit from the little fruit stands at the corner of streets.  The vendor cuts fresh fruit and then squeezes lime on the fruit.
The lime is fabulous on watermelon, bananas, pineapple and especially mango.
It heightens the taste.  They also will put chili on your fruit.  I haven't acquired the taste for that yet.  It hides the taste of the fruit.

Try squeezing fresh lime on your fruit this summer!

This is a picture at Artesanos.  This is the same pattern only in white - not as fun.

I will be posting this on Tablescape Thursday.

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. I am so jealous you are in Cabo. My husband did a lot of consulting in Cabo for a few years. I really miss it! Love Artesanos! The Aluminum pieces are priced amazingly. Love the yellow and blue dishes!

  11. What a breathtaking view from your table! No wonder you serve most meals there! I love that dish pattern -- the yellow rim really pops against the blue placemats, and the blue glassware is perfect with the dishes. Gorgeous table!
