Pinkalicious Valentine's Table

Everything is luscious in pink, and our
family Valentine's Day dinner is
pinkalicious!  Half of the fun of setting
a great table for the family is to hear
the oohs and ahhs of the little ones.

They love fancy as much as I do, and they
know I put in some extra effort.  The cutest part
was that there was a little surprise under every
plate, and it wasn't a minute before one
of them found it.

The pinkaliciousness starts with this great
hot pink petal tablecloth.  Fresh potted orchids
add drama and height to the table, and yet you
can have conversation with everyone around the
table.

I switched out the regular chairs with my
stackable chiavari chairs to fit more people,
while there were more placesettings at the
kitchen counter.

The stack starts with these wooden chargers
I have had for several years from Pier 1.  The
fun heart plates were from Harmon's this year,
and the darling little pink heart dishes were
from Tai Pan several years ago.

I opted for my grandmother's sterling silver,
even though it has to be hand washed.  I guess
the family is used to having a lot of handwashed
items for special dinners.

These pink goblets were my mother's.  I paired those
with clear water glasses.

A fresh rose sits at every place setting.

I just love orchids and these have graced
the kitchen for some time now.  Be sure and
buy some with unopened buds so that they
continue to bloom.

Little touches of Valentine's filled the rest of the
center of the table.

Even pinkalicious cupcakes!

That party is done, and we are on to the next.
The table has been reset, and we are
entertaining friends on Valentine's Day
evening with a fondue party.

It is so nice to dine with friends at home
instead of trying to get reservations at a
restaurant.

I hope you spread the love and have a
wonderful Valentine's Day.

And if you follow me on Instagram,
you know that we have had fun
with homemade chocolates for
Valentine's Day.

A wonderful meal and a little chocolate
and it is the perfect Valentine's Day.

I will be posting this with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.
