Pirate Treasure - Edible Oreo Coins

A must for any Pirate Party is to have some
pirate treasure on board, gold and silver me mateys!!

How about some edible pirate gold for your
next Halloween or Pirate Party?

Beaulah and I did some treasure hunting and
came up with a bounty of gold and silver.

These are perfect for any pirate party, and the little ones
can even help make them.

Just spray Double Stuff Oreos with
Wilton's Silver or Gold Color Mist,
or Duff's Silver Cake Graffiti.

I love the Double Stuff - reminds me of doubloons!

Beaulah and I tried both, and they both worked
great.  Let them dry and pop some Pirate Gold or Silver
into your mouth.  We can't wait to try these out for
a Pirate Party.

I will be bringing my booty to
Susan's party

  13. Does the gold rub off on fingers or make a big mess in mouths? I'm wanting to make them for our pirate road trip this summer. I like this idea way better than chocolate coins (which sound like a really bad idea in the summer- and with preschoolers).

You can read about some of my ideas here:
