7 Layer Halloween Candy Salad

Beaulah has been crafting in her
Bewitchin' Kitchen again
and look what she has cooked up!

You know how I told you that
Beaulah
loves to look over my shoulder when I
am on the computer, especially when we
are looking at all the wonderfully creative
blogs out there in blogland....
well, when she saw this she
was sure it was a 7 Layer Salad
made just for her sweet tooth.

(You may have noticed that her teeth
are not in the best shape!)

I tried to convince her that it was a cute
candy jar and not a "salad", but
that is what she wants to call it anyway.

We saw this on

Sara created it for a table centerpiece.
Thanks Sara, I think I might make
one of these every year.

It really should be easy, just layer whatever
candy you have, especially the marshmallow
ghosts and pumpkins and top with Halloween
suckers.

I had a harder time than you would think
putting this "salad" together as I purchased
4 bags of candy at the grocery store and
when I got home I couldn't find them and
still haven't.

BEAULAH!!!!
Did you run off with that bag?
Oh, that sweet tooth of yours!

to see Mary's fun tablescape where
she did several of these candy jars for the
middle of the table.  Too cute!

This one is sitting on the kitchen counter.  Although there are
several jars of Halloween candy out, the little two year old
is really having a hard time with this one.  He says,
"I want that one!"
every day, but poor thing, grandma makes him
 choose from another jar.

Maybe after Halloween sweetie pie!

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  2. That candy jar wouldn't last 5 minutes around here with Ramon, especially if there's a drop of chocolate in it! It's a really cute idea. They make so many wonderful and fanciful candies these days...it makes it hard to choose which to include, I'm sure! Thanks for stopping by my place earlier! I'm glad you did! Happy Halloween to you and Beaulah! :-)

  5. Love this design! I think your naughty witch needs a good 'ol fashioned "Time Out" for taking all of your candy!

  6. Now that's the kind of salad that would disappear very quickly around here. So cute! :)

  7. That is so cute. I immediately thought of how cute this could be at Easter. But then I wondered if I could remember it that long!

  8. I love it! I think Beulah has it right though...if you call it a 7 layer salad, it's better for you right? ;D

  10. That Beaulah is so talented in the kitchen~ what a wonderfully sweet salad she's created :) I love those spiral lollipops & her eye for color is outstanding! I've so enjoyed seeing what tricks Beaulah has pulled out of her hat this month, I hope she has one or two more!

Thanks so much for the shout out~

  15. Wow, it's really sooo cute! Here in Italy we don't have so many kinds of little chocolates for Halloween, it's not in our tradition and this is a pity! Your blog is beautiful, congratulations!!! Chiara

  16. Ha! Another grandma that makes things the grands can't eat. I have a bird nest with the Easter candies that look like blue eggs and always remind our young ones they can't eat them.
The layered candy is a great idea, I can imagine a nice one for Christmas too.
