Spring Has Sprung?

I know so many of you are out there enjoying your lovely
weather, while the first few days of spring here have
been snowy.

I usually plant my pansies and spring flowers in the fall,
but this year I didn't get around to it and planted them
last Saturday when it was overcast but not wet.

This anemone looks like it is going to break off.

They sure brightened up the yard,

now they are blanketed with snow.

Look at these poor primroses!

Well, that is spring for you, tease you with a
little nice weather and then change on you.

I'd much rather be enjoying this!

Or this!
(Give me a tropical climate anyday!  I would love to have
gorgeous flowers year round.)

I hope you have a wonderful spring.  Hop
on over to Beverly's at How Sweet The Sound
I will also be posting this with

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  1. Spring weather is kinda like the California Gov says,"I'll BE BACK".

    Hey have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Beautiful photos... Hawaii is the
4th place we have lived... being that my husband is in the military. Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great weekend! P.S. I shared your Sweet Tooth Friday link on my FB page :)

  3. pansies are so resillient, they will be back and beautiful..

  4. I recently did the same thing! Even though we have forsythia blooming all over our back yard I wanted some color in the front so purchased some potted pansies for our front steps and I just love the color it brings! Enjoy yours once the snow melts away, I'm sure they will still be beautiful:)

  5. Happy Pink Saturday, Jacqueline. Thank you for the compliment on my header. It is new.

Your pink blooms are so pretty - even wearing their white coat. Will they survive the snow?

I'm wishing you sunny days and pink joy.

  6. I hope your flowers survive! They are beautiful!
    Happy PS!

  7. So harsh on the poor plants, but Happy Spring to you Jacqueline:@)

  8. Love, love all the gorgeous flowers! I hope that yours recover ~

  9. Hello dear Jacqueline! It's been awhile since I've had time to visit! I had to cover my pansies last night so they would survive the 20 degree weather...and will do so for the next few nights...we may see snow on Sunday :-(
    Have a beautiful weekend!
    ;-D Kathleen

  10. P.S.
Love your photo...and your beautiful purple dress!

  11. Hi Jacqueline! You shouldn't be afraid to show your're lovely! Your flowers are magnificent and you've captured them beautifully. My favorite is the salmon pink blossom with the snow on top. Have a wonderful weekend! Terri

  12. Happy Pink Saturday!

Yes, it's's just a little slow this time...

    ~ Gabriela ~

  13. That is how my spring looks too! I am holding off doing any yard work even though it really needs it. I am too lazy to get out there in the cold to deal with it.

I made your Lemon Shortbread Truffles last night. Unfortunately, they did not last long at all! I linked to your recipe and posted a recipe for lemon curd on my blog. They were just heavenly! Thank you again for posting the recipe!

  14. I just have to say that blooms peeking out from under the snow are just gorgeous. They seem to carry with them the promise of something better to come. Be patient, you will be rewarded in time. I have to say, I don't blame you for pushing but you will have what your heart desires....
    Happy Pink Saturday sweetie, Char

  15. Gorgeous pictures! Thanks for visiting me and commenting. Hugs, Kerrie

I love your photos; wonderful shots you got of the posies in the snow! Of course we all prefer flowers without snow but soon, very soon, we'll get our wish! Happy Pink Saturday to you.

  26. Such beautiful flowers, peeking out from the snow. I'm with you, wishing for more sunshine, but Spring rain and snow clean and ready us for Summer.

I am taking care of grands and have to go to the library to get on line...a 20 minute drive. I will help you change your blog next week when I can use wireless at home! It's not hard, but will take some time. Hang in there!

  27. Oh how I can relate. We just receive another 6" earlier this week. Ugh! I can't wait for the sunshine and pretty blossoms. I am your newest follower and I look forward to returning.

  29. Beautiful flowers! Hope the REAL spring shows up soon! No snow here, but we do have rain now. Have a good weekend, Jacqueline!

  30. She'll be back. :) We are supposed to get a little snow tonight too. I hurried outside and planted some grass seed because the snow will help the seeds seep into the ground better..... at least that's my theory. :) HPS

  31. Oh my heavens you still have snow! Hang in there. Happy Pink Saturday!

  32. We haven't had a lot of snow so far this year, but we're supposed to be getting some tonight. Your flowers make me yearn for warm weather- they're beautiful!

  33. HPS! Love those pansies. They are hardy little flowers.

  34. What a beautiful blog you have here and I am so tired of snow and winter. We have some coming again tonight and it will cover my crocus and daffodils. Can't wait until it is gone for good!
    Hugs- Tete
