Romance Is In The Air - Valentine's For Couples

Hearts, hearts everywhere!

Why not get a head start on a Valentine's Day party for
couples?
We thought we would gather before everyone got too busy.

Set the table all in red and white with hearts everywhere.

My new red flatware from Horchow will be perfect.
I had been wanting red flatware and these were on sale.

It is called San Remo.  The red was a little darker
red than I expected, but it blends well.

These cutwork Valentine's napkins are new this year too.
I found these at Home Goods/ TJ Maxx.
Sometimes I feel like I am a walking advertisement for
Home Goods, but I just love all of their tableware.

It is frosty and snowy outside and the red really warms
everything up.

I had to have these fun heart shaped salad plates when I
saw them.  I got 13 in case one breaks.

These wonderful glass votive candle holders
are new this year from Tai Pan.  I read recently that there are
two Tai Pans in California too.
The early morning sun shining through them is beautiful.

Joni from Red Couch Recipes (my lovely sister) gave me
these ruffled chargers.  If you are a follower, you know that Joni
is the one that got me started blogging.  She is coming up on her
first year in February.  What a wonderful blog she has.

The ruby red glasses are so rich in color.

I just love the color red.  Did you know that it is more
expensive to make red in glassware?

The tabletop stays up all month.  It is a collection of
fun Valentine's objects.

I save my beautiful chocolate boxes that my hubby gives me
for Valentine's Day and use them as part of my
holiday decor.

This is from a box of V Chocolates, a local
chocolatier.

This one is just a beaded box that I found a couple
of years ago.

A red candle in a jeweled candle holder adds a little
sparkle.

I threw a few "diamonds" on the table too.  Don't they
just represent romance?

Little heart jewels surround this crackled glass votive.

Amore!

We even hang some beaded hearts from the
chandelier.

Enjoy the view from above.

I especially enjoy the early sunlight streaming through all
of the red glass.  Such a pretty sight.

XOXOXO
Hugs and kisses from my home to yours.

I hope this puts you in the mood for Valentine's Day.
Invite some friends over and share the fun.

Goblets - Costco
Plates and heart votives - Tai Pan
Chargers - gift
Flatware - Horchow
Napkins - Home Goods
Napkin rings - made from floral picks

Beautiful table...so stunning with all the red. I didn't like red until about 2 years ago...now I'm picking up red accents all over, although jewel tones of purple, blue and green are still my favorite. I never know if the red goes with those. I keep hearing about this Home Goods...and wishing we had one...so many fun things I see on many blogs that come from there. You set a beautiful table incorporating so many different things.

I really enjoyed your Valentine's Table -- it just dripped and dazzled with red, which of course I love. I expecially liked the new candle holders ont he cute white plates. Also the red plates -- are they new. What a fun idea to collect Valentine chocolate boxes. Do you remember Dad used to give us small ones. Joni

This is the best Valentine's Day table I've ever seen, it's beautiful. I would love to be a guest at a lunch or dinner you'd host.
Also, you gals in the US are so lucky to have TJ Max - I've seen the nicest china, flatware etc. on blogs from them.

Aw, geez....I forgot that Valentine's Day is right around the corner. I guess I'll have to start acting right around here so I don't get coal instead of diamonds! ;-) Those napkins are simply precious!!!

Your table is so elegant and romantic, but still fun! I think a couples dinner is a wonderful idea. My Mom also collected her heart shaped chocolate boxes from my dad, and now I buy them for her. The reds, including the Horchow flatware, look great together. I am on the search for some red flatware too. As always, you have set a beautiful table! Linda

Where to begin??? Everything looks fabulous altogether and broken down piece by piece in your post. Each detail is so well thought out and adds to the drama. I especially love the candleholders on each plate and the centerpiece made of "old" chocolate boxes from your hubby - how special! I'd love to dine at this spectacular table!

Jacqueline,

You've inspired me with your Valentine tablescape. The textured heart shape plate looks like rich icing on the marvelous red ruffled charger. Aren't sisters just the very best gift from heaven! You and I are truly blessed. As soon as I finish clearing the rest of the elements from my 'Amethyst and Toile' tablescape, I'll pull out my heart shaped dinnerware and see what I can create. I'd almost forgotten about them. Hmmm...you've got me thinking! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous design and for stopping by my post. Come visit any time. Cherry Kay

I do love red & of course, a dash of white and silver.

Everything you shared to us are to die for. I might be so naive, when my 2 world blend with the American style. But, I am loving it.

Happy TS and enjoy the rest of the week & a great w/end too.

I went right to Horchow and ordered the RED flatware. While I was at it I ordered some badly need GOLD flatware (so you won't have to urge me to get some anymore). Are the goblets from COSTCO this year? I love, love, love them - but I have no more room to store them. What to do? What to do?

Jacqueline, now this is the perfect Valentine's table. I love how you mixed everything. Each detail just adds to the festive, romantic air of the table. I love Home Goods, too. I think I need to take the pledge, though, if my car keeps heading in that direction. LOL! I found some yellow napkins last year like your red ones, and the design is Easter eggs. I love little details like that, and I really like your new flatware. The whole table from the heart shaped dishes to the candy boxes from your beloved all make such a nice presentation which you always do well.

XO,

Sheila :-)

What a wonderful table!! Those plates with the floral edging are gorgeous. But my favorite is the red glasses...the are so intensely red which makes my heart go pitter-patter! Right now, I am looking at the heart-shaped chocolate box my husband gave me last year, so I love that you have saved yours as well!!

This is just an adorable Valentine's Day celebration!

Jacqueline, this is definitely a valentine table. Love every red inch of this beautiful setting. Like you, I've saved heart candy boxes through the years. I posted last year's table for TT, but am at work on a new one for this year. You are good inspiration to get busy.
Thanks! It's always a pleasure to see what creative ideas you have to share. ~ Sarah
