Girlfriend Party - Christmas Tablescape

Don't just peek through the window!
Come inside.
Everyone is welcome.
This is a dinner for my best girlfriends.

A woman's girlfriends are one of the most
wonderful treasures and why not celebrate
together.

This table was inspired by these cute plates
...girls love....

...and these adorable shoe ornaments.

All appropriate holiday sentiments!
(At least for me!)

They were paired with textured red plates and
sparkling red chargers, organza red napkins
and berry napkin rings made from holiday
floral stems.

Each place setting has a little glass slipper.

The centerpiece is also made up of girls' favorite
items:  roses, candy, chocolates and bling.

We actually had a dinner party last year and
used these place settings.  The girls sat in here
and the guys sat at a "more manly" table
in the kitchen.

It was all girl talk and a fun change from
the norm.  Everyone liked the change.

A fun perspective on this shoe.

I love the red ball on the bottom of these dessert dishes.

A view from above.

These great bubbled red stemmed glasses were
from a Christmas trip to New York years
ago.

This shoe is fabulous too, love the reflection in
the wood table.

The fun modern dessert dishes mirror the red
stem of the
bubbled goblets.

This is a lucious table in red with just a hint
of green here and there.

The berries are just the right holiday accent to the
fresh red roses.

Put your sparkly ornaments on display on a red
pedestal and under
a glass dome.

Beautiful red and white ornaments and crystals hang
from the chandelier above.  It is so easy to decorate
your chandeliers and it adds so much to your table.

We even have some high stepping boots to
add to the whimsy of the table.  It would be
fun to have a small tree filled with shoe and boot
ornaments.

Greenery, crystals, tassels, anything you like can
dress up your chandelier.

We even captured the blue hour at dusk through
the open plantation shutters.

When you move the chairs away you can see
the round red rug and the sculptured
legs of the dining table.

So glad you came in from the cold and shared
a lovely time with all of your girlfriends.

"No love, no friendship can cross the path of our
destiny without leaving some mark on it
 forever." - Francois Muriac

I want to thank all my wonderful blogging girlfriends,
you certainly have left a mark on me forever.  You
give me such wonderful hope in your examples of
marvelous
women, wives, mothers, grandmothers, daughters
and friends.  I brag about you to my husband
all of the time.

I am going to visit many of my girlfriends (and some
guy friends) at

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  10. Love the tablescape! Your home seems so warm and inviting. I am a shoe fanatic and I have 16 different shoe ornaments on my tree. All in shades of pink and lime green. Would be so fun to sit around that table for girl talk.

  11. Jacqueline, I agree that our girlfriends are so important! Yours are extra lucky to be able to share in that wonderful table setting!! I must find those shoes. Both my mom and my daughter are shoe-aholics--they even have signs that say "if the shoe fits, buy one in every color.." I also love the chandelier. I always decorate mine---partially to hide it, although it always looks better with glittery things hanging from it! Have a nice meal with your girlfriends! Linda
